Chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, pose a significant and growing global health challenge. These conditions, characterized by long-term and often irreversible health implications, have reached epidemic proportions, affecting millions of individuals worldwide. The prevalence of hypertension and diabetes is fueled by sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy dietary habits, and an aging population. The insidious nature of these diseases often leads to late-stage diagnoses, resulting in severe complications and increased healthcare costs. To combat this scourge, proactive measures such as regular screening and enhanced health literacy are crucial. Early detection through screenings allows for timely intervention, preventing or mitigating the progression of these diseases.

In the bid to promote the health of staff, Queen’s College, Yaba Lagos, partnered with Livinghealth International, a leading Health Solutions and Consulting firm, to hold a Wellness and Screening Program for the school’s staff members.
